Rasheed Thorne, and William Walker IV, both 21, neither of whom has a fixed address, were taken into custody and charged with weapons offenses after crashing their vehicle in Landover, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

An off-duty member of the Metropolitan Police Department was injured in Northwest DC on Monday afternoon when shots were fired at his vehicle, though it is unclear if he was struck or otherwise injured during the incident.

He was able to drive himself to the nearby Fourth District station, where he was assisted and taken to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for treatment and evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 12:40 p.m. on May 20 MPD notified police in Prince George's County that its officers were in an active pursuit of the two shooting suspects, who wound up crashing in the area of Town Place and Route 202.

Thorne and Walker were arrested at the crash scene, where a gun was recovered nearby.

Both were charged with two firearms offenses and they are being held at the Prince George's County Department of Corrections.
